Streaks System FAQ
Everything you need to know about building and maintaining learning streaks
What are Streaks?
A streak represents consecutive days where you've been active on BridgeMind by completing at least one lesson. Streaks are designed to help you build consistent learning habits and maintain momentum in your educational journey.
Goal: Streaks encourage daily engagement and help transform learning from an occasional activity into a daily habit that becomes part of your routine.
How Do Streaks Work?
Daily Activity
To maintain your streak, you need to complete at least one lesson each day. It doesn't matter what type of lesson (text, video, quiz, or assignment) - any completed lesson counts toward your streak.
Time Zones
Streaks are calculated based on calendar days in your local time zone. You have until 11:59 PM in your time zone to complete a lesson and maintain your streak.
Consecutive Days
Your streak counter increases by 1 for each consecutive day you complete a lesson. If you miss a day, your current streak resets to 0, but your longest streak record is preserved.
What Do I See in My Streak Stats?
Current Streak
The number of consecutive days you've been active, starting from your most recent activity.
Longest Streak
Your personal best - the longest consecutive streak you've ever achieved. This never decreases, even if your current streak is broken.
Last Activity Date
The most recent day you completed a lesson, used to calculate if your streak continues or breaks.
How Do I Maintain My Streak?
Streak Continues When:
- You complete a lesson today and completed one yesterday
- You complete multiple lessons in the same day (still counts as 1 streak day)
- You complete any type of lesson (text, video, quiz, assignment)
Streak Breaks When:
- You skip a day without completing any lessons
- More than 24 hours pass between lesson completions across calendar days
- You only browse content without actually completing lessons

Tips for Building Long Streaks
Start Small
Commit to just one lesson per day. Consistency beats intensity.
Set a Routine
Pick a specific time each day for learning (morning coffee, lunch break, etc.).
Use Reminders
Set daily notifications to remind yourself to complete a lesson.
Plan Ahead
On busy days, complete a quick lesson early to secure your streak.
Don't Stress
If you break a streak, just start again. Your longest streak is still recorded!
Celebrate Milestones
Acknowledge your achievements at 7, 30, 100+ day streaks!
Common Questions
What if I complete multiple lessons in one day?
Great! But it still only counts as one streak day. The streak tracks consecutive days, not total lessons.
Do weekends count toward streaks?
Yes, every day of the week counts equally. There are no "free days" for maintaining streaks.
What happens if I travel across time zones?
Streaks are calculated based on your account's time zone setting. Update your time zone in settings if you move to avoid streak calculation issues.
Can I recover a broken streak?
No, once a streak is broken, you start over from day 1. However, your longest streak record is permanent and shows your best achievement.
Do partially completed lessons count?
No, you must fully complete a lesson for it to count toward your streak. Starting a lesson but not finishing it won't maintain your streak.
