Dictate the task, then review the transcript
BridgeVoice turns speech into text for the field you are working in. It is included in BridgeMind Pro. For coding work, the advantage is being able to explain a problem in your own words without stopping to polish each sentence as you type.
Speech recognition can still mishear a file name, number, or technical term. Read the resulting text before sending it to an agent, especially when a small wording change could alter the task.
Set up a short recording first
Open BridgeVoice, sign in, choose your microphone, and configure a recording shortcut. Grant the operating-system permissions requested for recording and text placement. Shortcut behavior can vary by platform and configuration; use the shortcut displayed in your app.
Focus a disposable text field and record a short sentence. Confirm that the transcript lands in the intended place before using dictation in a longer brief. If it does not, check the selected microphone, permissions, target focus, and whether the destination accepts pasted text.
Use four parts for a coding brief
Describe the situation before describing the implementation. The agent needs enough information to distinguish your desired result from a plausible alternative.
- Outcome: the behavior you want to change.
- Context: the page, project, or files involved and what happens today.
- Constraints: existing design, APIs, or behavior that must remain intact.
- Verification: a concrete way to tell whether the work is finished.
Example prompt
On the pricing page, explain that BridgeVoice is included with Pro. Use the official icon and the existing product-row styling. Keep checkout and the monthly/annual toggle working. Check both billing periods and the mobile layout before finishing.
Choose local or cloud processing deliberately
BridgeVoice supports local and cloud transcription. With a downloaded local model, transcription runs on the device. Cloud transcription sends audio for hosted processing. Choose the engine in the app rather than assuming every recording follows the same path.
Polish and Enhance Prompt are optional hosted rewrites that use BridgeMind credits. They are separate from local speech recognition. Review a rewritten prompt for intent as well as spelling: a clearer sentence is not useful if it silently changes your request.
Local transcription does not mean every app feature works without a connection. Account access, model downloads, synchronization, and hosted features can require the internet.
Keep the final instruction yours
Remove abandoned thoughts and correct exact names before submitting. Read action verbs carefully: “review” and “deploy” authorize different work. State any approval boundary in the final brief so the agent does not need to infer it.
When an agent reports completion, review its changed files and verification results. Dictation makes the input easier; it does not remove your responsibility to decide whether the result is ready to ship.
