Windows startup repaired, faster Files editing
Windows 0.2.1 replaces the withdrawn 0.2.0 update. It fixes the launch failure, restores saving in Files, speeds up large-file highlighting, and adds repeated installed-app startup checks before publication.
v0.2.1Windows
- Windows opens reliably. The startup failure that withdrew 0.2.0 is fixed. Every candidate must now survive three installed-app launches before it can be published.
- Files saves and edits faster. Sidebar Files saves work again, and unchanged highlighted lines are reused after edits near the top of large files.
- Voice and text fixes. Ended voice calls stop writing memory, the selected voice is preserved, and streamed emoji count correctly at rendering limits.
Added
- Measure renderer performance with repeatable correctness checks and baseline comparisons, and sample native Windows CPU and memory use.
Changed
- Reuse unchanged syntax-highlighted lines after edits near the top of large files, and defer voice audio code until a call needs it.
Fixed
- Count streamed emoji and incomplete Unicode characters correctly at text-rendering size limits.
- Keep ended voice calls from writing memory after cancellation and preserve the selected voice when starting a call.
- Edit and save local text files again when opening Files from the desktop sidebar.
- Show Ctrl+N for new agent chats on Windows and Linux while keeping the Mac shortcut on macOS.
- Keep Windows development checks compatible with native file paths and clipboard line endings.
- Open the Windows app reliably when its browser has not finished loading the first page, while preserving microphone permission prompts and blocking requests from other origins.
- Verify that installed Windows updates start successfully before making them available for download.
